State government runs on information. We create, collect, process, distribute, store, manage, retrieve, maintain and dispose of information as an integral part of every business process and activity of the organization. In an effort to increase our efficiency we offer business applications and systems that can process vast volumes of information.

Basic Content Services- Microsoft SharePoint is a family of software products developed by Microsoft for collaboration, file sharing, and web publishing. Using SharePoint, people can set up web sites to share information with others, manage documents from start to finish, and publish information to help everyone make better decisions.

Business Intelligence (BI)- The service includes assisting customers in developing systems/methods used in analyzing business data. BI uses technologies, processes, and applications to analyze data. This may include warehouses, reports, or analytical tools to provide easy access to the customers’ information.

Data Science and Analytics- Gain a factual understanding of data (regarding citizens served, services, programs, etc.), based on existing information or on external information that can be accessed.

Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) (Service coming soon!)- is a collection of technologies that work together to provide a comprehensive solution for managing the creation, capture, indexing, storage, retrieval, and disposition of records and information assets of the organization.

Forms- A form typically does one or more of three things:  it initiates an action, records a transaction, or reports something.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)- A system that creates, manages, analyzes, and maps of all types of data. GIS connects data to a map, integrating location data (where things are) with all types of descriptive information (what things are like there). This provides a foundation for mapping and analysis that is used in almost every industry.

Master Data Management- compares client records from disparate systems and links them together, creating a Master Demographic Record for each citizen receiving state services. A variety of systems scattered throughout ND State Government contain information about the clients they serve. Each of these systems maintains its own copy of demographic data, which inevitably differs from system to system. MDM scores, matches, and consolidates data into a single record.

Records Management- The professional practice of identifying, classifying, preserving, and disposing the records of an organization, while capturing and maintaining the evidence of an organization’s business activities as well as the reducing the risks associated with it.
