Geographic Information Systems use software tools to gather, transform, manipulate, analyze, and produce geospatial data related to the surface of the earth.
Through a general-fund appropriation for the GIS Program, NDIT provides the hosting infrastructure and a product coordinator for the North Dakota GIS Hub. Database administrators, web application developers, web presentation developers, and system administrators all contribute to provide a reliable, scalable, and secure environment. The GIS Hub is the result of people collaborating and coordinating through the GIS Technical Committee.
