The two-week commentary period for public input on the North Dakota Broadband Grant Program ends today. This is the last day the North Dakota Information Technology Department will have the submission form open.

NDIT announced the broadband infrastructure grant program and application process Sept. 16. The draft policy has been available for a 14-day public comment period – Sept. 16 – Sept. 30. Today is the last day for the public to submit comments and/or questions regarding the plan and application process.

North Dakota received $45 million in American Rescue Plan coronavirus aid to boost broadband infrastructure in the state. North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT) department is seeking feedback on both the proposed plan for the deployment of new broadband infrastructure for communities with limited or no access, and the application process to obtain the grants to help fund this buildout.  

NDIT held a meeting for public participation on Wednesday, Sept. 21 and addressed the questions of attendees.

The Grant Application will be open Oct. 14 and can be found at: American Rescue Plan Act | North Dakota Information Technology (nd.gov) NOTE: The link will only go live mid-October.

NDIT is targeting the beginning of 2023 to announce final awards to applicants / subrecipients of the CPF grants.
