Report it immediately. Quick action can help cybersecurity teams investigate the incident, protect your account, and prevent the issue from spreading. Don’t try to investigate or fix a suspected compromise on your own.
Be cautious of unexpected requests, urgent or threatening language, unfamiliar senders, suspicious links, unusual attachments, and requests for passwords or sensitive information. When in doubt, stop and verify before clicking or responding.
Reach out whenever you have a cybersecurity question, need help understanding a security requirement, or are concerned about a potential risk or incident. You don’t have to be certain something is a security issue before asking for help. Early questions and early reporting can help prevent bigger problems.
