North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT) has again been named one of the Top 10 Workplaces by the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network (YPN), marking the organization’s second straight year earning this distinction.

YPN’s annual recognition highlights employers that cultivate strong teams, invest in their people, and build workplaces where young professionals can thrive. Honorees are evaluated on their commitment to career development, culture, inclusion, leadership opportunities, and the overall environment they create for employees under 40.

We’re grateful to receive this recognition for the second year in a row, said Corey Mock, Chief Information Officer for the State of North Dakota. Our success is a direct reflection of our team—how they support one another, embrace a positive and inclusive culture, and create a professional ‘home’ that our entire NDIT family can be proud of. When people feel supported and are given opportunities to lead, that shows up in the incredible work they do for the state every day.

The Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network, founded in 2005, is one of the region’s most active groups focused on connecting, developing, and empowering emerging leaders. Through programming, community involvement, and professional development opportunities, YPN has helped strengthen the local workforce and elevate the voices of young professionals across industries for more than two decades.

As part of this year’s recognition, NDIT is proud to spotlight the connection between its workplace culture and the values championed by YPN—bridging the organization’s mission with the experiences of its own employees who are active members of the network.

The balance NDIT has built between purpose-driven work, strong benefits, flexibility, and genuine connection is what makes it such a great place to build a career, said Dana Henry, NDIT Staff Accountant. I’m incredibly proud to see that recognized by the YPN, and even more excited for what this means as we attract and connect the next generation of talent with the network.

NDIT continues to offer a wide range of career opportunities—from internships and early-career pathways to leadership roles—equipping team members with the support, development, and mentorship needed to grow and succeed. The agency remains committed to fostering a workplace grounded in purpose, built on trust, and dedicated to delivering meaningful outcomes for North Dakotans.
